Scott and I went to the Third Day concert tonight...and IT WAS AWESOME!!!! I was actually helping at the World Vision Boothe and got to meet the wife (Karen) of one of the guys from the opening band -
Revive (she was in charge of the boothe). Revive is a brand new band from Australia touring with Third Day!! They have an awesome testimony!

They sold everything they had and moved to the U.S. December 31st of last year. Karen and her husband had only been married 2 weeks!! They are finally getting to go back home and visit...leaving Tuesday...and will be in Australia for 9 weeks. Then they are coming back to tour with Third Day again March through May of 2009! This is them on stage...
Need to Breathe was the second band that came on before Third Day. They were really cool too...they have several songs on the radio that you've probably heard - one of my FAVORITES is "Washed by the Water". And its even better LIVE! I didn't get any pictures of them because I was working the World Vision booth then...
But when Third Day finally came out...I was definitely out there!! By the end of the night, we had made our way right up front!!!

Check this out...Mac Powell looked straight at me and SMILED..and I GOT IT ON CAMERA!!!!

Then they tried to go off stage and act like they were leaving...SIKE!!

They came back!!!

Then Mac brought the lead singer from Revive back out to sing with him....

As usual, Third Day did not disappoint! Sixteen years and running...and still the best ever Christian band! Oh, and by the way. Mac made an announcement tonight. He said 15 minutes before they came on to the stage that he got a phone call saying they had been voted American Band of the year...he said he couldn't remember, "best something....just BEST"! Ha! They definitely deserve it.

My feet are killing me now...but it was a great night. If you are looking for some new music...Revive (their CD won't actually be out until February), Need to Breathe, and THIRD DAY (their newest CD is Revelation...and its AWESOME)!!
Night, night! Sweet Dreams.
