After we got married, it became the thing that "wouldn't quit". Scott had recently remodeled the entire house, preparing to sell it when we got married...but instead it ended up being a refuge for his cousins who needed a place to stay after their house sold much sooner than expected...and before their new house was finished being built...
When they moved out, Scott's best friend (Mike) moved into town and wanted to rent this perfect little bachelor pad until he knew exactly what his new career path would be....
The second week in March, Mike called Scott and told him he was moving to the delta. So here we were....finally ready to sell! My (over analytical, too practical, lets be realistic) head wanted to tell me, "This is NOT GOOD TIMING"...I wanted to be scared....two mortgages!!?!...this economy!!??!....but my heart knew God was in control. Scott and I both agreed that God knew about this all along and that this didn't catch Him off guard. So, on March 18th the house officially went on the market.
Today....two and a half weeks later.....SOLD! (or at least a price agreement has been made and the girl that wants it has already been pre-approved)!!! Let me tell you something....God ain't studin' this declining economy....He's workin on HIS economy!!!!!! Praise the LORD!!! This is nothing less than a miracle from heaven. Just so you know, the house across the street from us has been for sale almost a YEAR now. But like I told Scott on the way home from meeting with our realtor....even if God wouldn't have sold this house for two more years...He would STILL BE GOOD!!
So goodbye, little house of memories. Its been fun. You were a good home to Scott. But now he's livin' with ME...and I'm glad to see you go!Thank you Jesus! I'm in awh.....
