Canton Flea Market - Check!

Ok, so yesterday I experienced my first ever CANTON FLEA MARKET! I got up at 4 a.m. and left the house at 5:30 to head to go pick up my milly (mother-in-law). By 6:30 we had paid 20 bucks for parking and were starting our flea market journey. I wasn't sure what to expect..but it was really, really fun...and I'm not even a big shopper! We stayed there until 3:30...and I was WO OUT! I can't believe it...but I am actually even SORE today....that's ridiculous!!

We saw lots of cute things and there were a couple things I would have loved to get...but I'm too....uh..."frugal"...instead, my milly decided we could make some of this stuff (but SHE is artistic and can do this stuff). We saw these beautiful Christmas wreaths that had over-sized Christmas balls and this huge tool/ribbon stuff all through the wreath. It really was gorgeous....but also $150!! She took a picture of one with her cell phone so we can have a project to do together!

There were also several boothes that had some VERY cute bird houses....and several times I came REALLY close to buying one....but then I thought, "I've never even wanted a bird-house before...never really even thought about one...and now I'm going to buy a $75 dollar one...."

Of c0urse I ended up walking away from it...me, "frugal"....with my milly saying, "those will be so easy to make"! That's going to be another project we're going to work on.

If it ever actually gets done...I'll be sure to post the results! ;)

One thing that I DID buy...this VERY cute turkey that you make out of a pumpkin....it was only $22 and I thought that would be fun to have for years to come...especially when kids come along! :)

Here's another picture with my new mum that looks SO good next to my red walls and my new birthday picture (thanks Mom!)....and of course the Turkey Pumpkin! he! he! I'm not exactly sure where to put him yet....I had him on the front porch by the door...but then I thought, "I never use the front door, so we won't get to enjoy looking at him..." So he sits in the kitchen floor for now...

Oh, and one last thing...I saw this cute shirt and had to get it! My milly got one too that said, "Pittbull - Sara Palin VP 08"...and it had a big red lipstick kiss on it! ha! She said she wanted to wear it before the election so everyone will know who she supports...and if they don't win...she's going to wear it AFTER the election...so everyone will know who she supported!!!
I'll wear it proudly!!!

It has been since I was in elementary school since I have been to Canton. I would love to go again! I think your pumpkin turkey looks great!

I tagged you on my blog today. I don't remember you having done it.

Have a great week!
