New Orleans Lady

Well...she lives in Nashville..but got married in New Orleans! My cousin, Celia, that is! She tied the knot this weekend! The wedding was in the courtyard of a bed and breakfast on Magazine Street - which they also rented for us all to stay in. It was really nice to have everything and everyone right there. Scott and I rolled into town around lunch time on Saturday and went out to eat with Celia..I got to meet a lot of her friends! While we were in the restaurant, the rains CAME! And I do mean CAME! No one at the table was allowed to acknowledge it, though! :)

The wedding was at 6:00...by then the rain had stopped and it held off long enough for the vows and the first dance. It all worked out! There was plenty room inside so we all just moved in and started nibbling on the delicious food.

Celia and Scott truly seem like an excellent couple.. madly in love and CRAZY about each other! I'm so happy for Celia...she's waited a long time for this.

These are the bride's two sisters, (and my other two cousins! :) - JJ on the left, and Alice (A-bird) on the right.

...and the bride and me...

...and THIS little hunka-hunka burnin' love is my husband! Ain't he FINE! :) I'm not sure why we never got a picture TOGETHER that night??

These two precious things are JJ's two children...the flower girl and the ring bearer in their pj's after the wedding!

After the wedding and lots of eating, Scott and I slipped off to our rooms while the rest of the party-crew went downtown. The next morning we got to check out the breakfast part of the "bed and breakfast"...and boy was it fine!! Oh wow! I've never had grits like this place made! Yum-Yum!!

Here is Scott, having some coffee and waiting on breakfast to be served! Notice no one else is around. All the late-nighters were still in the bed! :)

Finally got a picture TOGETHER..at the breakfast table!

And here we are with the happy new couple! Me and my Scott...and Celia and HER Scott!!

I've only been to New Orleans a couple of times, and its been a while for Scott...so after we checked out of the bed and breakfast we went walking around a bit and got a bite to eat before we headed back home. I was surprised at how good everything looked. There were very few signs that a hurricane had ever been there (at least in the parts we traveled)

Overall it was a very nice weekend, and it was super good to actually get to spend some time with the Hubby. We have both been so busy with work lately, we've hardly had time to speak!

So here's to the happy couple! Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Scott Trevathon!! May you have many, many years of happiness and great blessings!!
