We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend with the Wardlaw side of the family this year! We woke
up bright and early on Thanksgiving morning to head to Starkville.
Holston was ready to see his cousins!
He read a book to pass the time....
and pointed out the "Duh-g" (I'm pretty sure he is trying to say Dog,
although he might be saying Doc. That's our dog's name - so that might
get a little confusing for him! :)
Not too long after we got there it was time to get ready for lunch!! And
boy did it smell good when we walked in the house!! I didn't have to
do one thing this Thanksgiving, but show up!! Kerri and Mom did a
fabulous job on the delicious spread they prepared!! Mmm Mmm GOOD!!!!
Mom even helped the girls prepare a Thanksgiving table JUST for them!!!
By the end of the day, we were all stuffed and couldn't do much more
than sit around. Ansley didn't mind... she got plenty of opportunities
to hold Holston!
The next day, the first thing on my agenda was to get pictures of all
the kids together. That turned out to be more difficult than I
expected! Holston wasn't being his normal chipper self, and wasn't too
happy to be taking pictures. We managed to snag a couple where H wasn't
crying and/or someone else didn't have their hand in front of someone's
face, their dressed pulled up, etc.... :)
By the end of the shoot, the only way H would not cry was if I was holding him.....
I snagged this one from behind. H was actually crying in this one too, but you can't even tell it!! LOL!
After the photo shoot, the girls continued to enjoy the beautiful weather!
The next morning, Mom (MiMi) had planned for all the kids to make hand print ornaments. The girls are always up for a craft.
This was the one she saw on Pinterest:
And here is Karis making her own!
Ansley was next ....
Now Macey McKay's turn....
Holston did one too, but it took all
of us to do it, so we don't have pictures of him. And I don't have
pictures of the final product either, because we didn't get to finish
them before I left.
So
there you have it! Our Thanksgiving 2011! It was nice and relaxing
and filled with fun! I'm so thankful for my wonderful family and our
beautiful children!! Thanks be to GOD from whom ALL blessings FLOW!!!!!
