We're havin' a BABY!!!!

I can STILL hardly believe it!!! Every time I think about it, it still seems like a dream!!!! The sonogram picture below was taken at 7 weeks.... I'm now at 15!!!

So, to rewind a few months, back in February Scott and I went to Colorado on a Skiing Vacation - we didn't know it then...but we were already pregnant! When we got back from our trip, I still hadn't really considered the idea that I might be pregnant. It wasn't until a good friend of mine called during my lunch break on March 3rd to tell me that she was pregnant. When she began describing some of the symptoms that she had been experiencing, I started to think, "Hmmm, that sounds a lot like what I've been kinda feeling the past week." After that phone conversation, I couldn't get it off my mind. As soon as I got home from work I took a pregnancy test.

Immediately it was POSITIVE!! As I sat there staring at this test, in unbelief...Scott walks in from work and rounds the corner. Seeing me staring at something (totally unaware of what I was doing) he asked the obvious question, "What are you doing?"

When I handed him the pregnancy test it didn't take him long to figure it out! We just looked at each other with this what-do-we-do-now grin!

The next day I called to make my first doctor appointment. For the next week and a half, I thought about this tiny little baby growing inside of me...it still seemed so.....NOT real!! I dreamed about twin boys one night and was convinced I was having twin boys!

Finally, on March 15, at my first doctor's appointment I got to have my first sonogram and hear the baby's heart beat (and verify it was just ONE heartbeat!) It was so awesome to see that tiny 0.77 cm 'bean" on the screen and hear its tiny little heart beat. Words can't express what that moment is like! It was such a relief to hear that everything looked good! Our due date was set for November 1 and I was told I was 7 weeks and 2 days along!

Scott and I decided to wait a while before we shared the big news - and let it sink in ourselves a bit more too!

My second appointment was on April 12th - again another good report! The heart rate this time was 150-160...what the doctor said was common for GIRLS!

The weekend following my second doctor's appointment (now at 12 weeks) we shared our exciting news with family! Everyone was ECSTATIC!!!

Yesterday I got to hear the baby's heart beat for the third time... it never gets old!! This time the heart rate was 140-150! Maybe its a BOY??

Well, we are going to find out for sure on MAY 28th!!! And I CAN'T WAIT!!! Honestly, I'm excited boy or girl... I just cant wait to find out!!!!
