Summer Lovin'

Gosh, the summer is flying by! I can't believe that June is already almost over! That just means our ORANGE BEACH vacation is fast approachin!! Yes, we are going to Orange Beach! We are leaving the 28th of June...but I've been packing for a month!! We are going with my parents and my brother's family...its super exciting because it will be our first family vacation - EVER!! We will be meeting several of our favorite fun cousins there too! It should be loads of laughs! Not to mention I haven't been to the beach since I was in high school!! And it just so happens that a group from our church will be there at the exact same time on a mission tour - we are looking forward to meeting up with them a couple nights for "Praise nights on the beach"!

I guess now would be a good time to mention that niece #2 (Ansley) just turned two - June 9th! They are both growing so fast. Karis turned three in February. I don't get to see them nearly enough....aren't they adorable!!!!!!!

Scott and I recently started doing Tuesday night outreach with our church. We have only been doing it for two weeks and its already been a HUGE blessing. Not only have we had the opportunity to share Jesus through that...but Scott has had the opportunity to see two of his long time friends come to know Jesus and has been able to share his testimony with them about what all God has been doing in his life! God is using his testimony so mightily and its so exciting to see!!!

That reminds me, I dont think I ever mentioned anything about the "Sportsmen Seeking Him" group that Scott and another guy got started at our church. I assume you know that Scott is a HUGE hunter and outdoorsman.... and about a year ago God began to put on Scott's heart to build a ministry specifically set up for sportsmen. Unknown to him, God was also working on another man's heart about the very same thing. Eventually they each approached our pastor about the idea, and learned there was another with the exact same passion. They then teamed up, and with a lot of prayer and planning scheduled the kick-off event in March - a wild game supper! Needless to say it was a hit! They had more men come than they ever expected and booked a speaker for the night that won over the crowd - and one man gave his life to the Lord! Scott was overwhelmed at what God had used him to accomplish! Since then, they have had a skeet shoot and are now getting ready for their third event - a fishing tournament this Saturday! In everything you do, do it unto the Lord - EVEN hunting!!
