Well, first things first...I am SO SORRY that it has taken me so long to write. I promised that I was going to do better at keeping my blog updated...and here its been since OCTOBER since I have written! I'm sure you understand time has been precious the past few months.
So anyway...Thanksgiving and Christmas were GREAT! ha! Scott got me an iPod - it was a total surprise!! He got some binoculars.... among other things! :)
Time has flown since Christmas. I have had so many wonderful showers (which I fully intended on writing about after each one..but...) Thank you for all the fabulous gifts to those of you that have so graciously supported us during this time. Scott and I are truly humbled by all the love and support we have received. Its been overwhelming! Its hard to believe there is just 9 days left!! This has all seemed like such a dream. I've always been the one looking in on the bride, never being able to imagine actually BEING the bride...and now...here it is....and I still cant imagine being the BRIDE! Although the day of the wedding will probably seem like a dream - I am thrilled about being a wife - and even better - Scott's wife!
All the plans for the wedding are pretty much taken care of....thanks mainly to my mom - I couldn't have done this without her. She has tried so hard to make this day perfect in every way...and I know it will be!
Yesterday Scott and I went to get our blood test and apply for our marriage liscense! This weekend Scott is going to Woodstock, Georgia to go to a men's conference at Johnny Hunt's church (and if you don't know Johnny Hunt - you SHOULD!) A group of guys from our church went last year and are going again this year. The theme for the conference this year, appropriately enough, is "Making an affair-proof marriage." Its so funny to think about...this weekend last year was the first time Scott and I met. And it was the very next weekend after we met that Scott went to this men's conference in Georgia. I had guys that I knew checking him out on that trip to see what they could find out about him - making sure he was a genuine guy! Ha! ha! Needless to say - I got a good report when they returned!! Its all history from there - that next weekend was our first date...which makes our wedding date our ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!! I cant think of a better way to celebrate than getting married!!!
I hope all of you will be able to come join us on our day of celebration! We are looking forward to seeing you there!
